Description
United Daughters of the Confederacy, Maryland Division: letters, reports, newspaper clippings, programs, pictures, and appeals.

The National Association of the Daughters of the Confederacy was organized in 1894. It changed its named to the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) in 1895.

The first Maryland Division was formed in 1895. Member must me sixteen or older and blood descendants of men or women who served honorably in the forces of the Confederate States of America or gave them material aid.

UDC also sponsors Children of the Confederacy Chapters (and has done so almost since its own founding).
