History
Although All Saints' Parish was established in 1742, it appears that by 1746, there was still no church building standing within the parish limits. Reverend Samuel Hunter urged the vestry to petition the General Assembly for a tax to fund the construction of a proper church. The church, located just south of the present All Saints' Church, was completed about 1750 and remianed in use until 1814.

By 1814, the original church was torn down and a new structure was erected. By 1854, this building was in disrepair and a third church was constructed on Church Street. Although open for use in 1856, it was not consecrated until 1905.
