Description
Documents concerning the Sands family of Annapolis. Series 1 consists of deeds, certificates, indentures, business accounts (1684-1876), and two letters from Sergeant William Sands to his family in Annapolis, Maryland. (William Sands was among the first troops sent from Maryland to join George Washington on Long Island. See Documents for the Classroom packet MSA SC 2221-2-21)

Series 2 includes a journal of Ann Sands (c1770-1790); diaries of Elizabeth Hohne Revell (1888, 1896-1905); Susannah Sands correspondence (1859-1878); Sands/Revell family general correspondence (1880-1899); business papers relating to Joseph Sands (c1803-1840) and Martin F. Revell (c1844-1897).

Series 3 consists of shipping ledgers and related bound volumes (1816, 1846-1852).
