Description
Civil War era photographs of Union and Confederate soldiers collected by Dan Toomey and Dave Mark. Surnames include: Abercrombie, Albert, Archer, Breckinridge, Chapman, Cooper, Buchanan, Donaldson, Elzey, Emory, French, Hammond, Judah, Hollins, Miles, Norris, Ord, Ramsay, Semmes, Tilghman, Stokes, Vandever, Randall family of Annapolis. These photographs were part of a Civil War exhibition curated at Maryland State Archives.
History
All the images of Regular Army officers in the Dan Toomey collection are mine. All the Confederate images used in that exhibit belong to Dave Mark.
