Description
Letters, transcripts, and photographs relating to the donor's paternal aunt, Virginia Moore and her husband, Captain Seldon F. Craig. Captain Craig was stationed in Baltimore with A Company, Sixth Regiment of the Michigan Volunteers at the time of his marriage. After the Civil War, he and Virginia lived in Baltimore. The letters cover the period from July 10, 1864 to April 19, 1865 and include allusions to southern sympathies in Baltimore and Lincoln's assassination.
