Collection of family papers and land patents relating William Hoffman of Hoffmansville, Baltimore County Maryland and Hoffman Paper Mills, as well as genealogical records of the Hoffman family.

Collection includes: correspondence and notes concerning watermarks and papermaking, including the Hoffman Paper Mills, Baltimore County; extracts from publications concerning watermarks; deeds, Baltimore and Frederick counties, illustrating various watermarks; May Albright Seitz, "Descendants of William Hoffman of Hoffmansville, Baltimore County, Maryland"; genealogical notes, Hoffman family; Henry Crouch, A Complete View of the British Customs.... signed by Daniel Bowly, 1731; L. Hennepin, A New Discovery of a Vast Country in America... 1698.
