History
Holy Cross Chapel was established in 1891 by Mrs. Mary Perry Evans and her brothers, Thornton T. and Taylor Perry, in memory of their mother Mrs. Estelle Taylor Perry. Completed in 1891, the chapel remained under the care of Emmanuel Parish until 1896 when it became an independent parish and congregation.
