History
St. Andrew's Church traces its formation to a small congregation which by 1839 met every other Sunday in the Methodist Episcopal Church under the direction of Reverend Joshua Peterkin. By 1840, the congregation was organized and a church building erected. The church was partially destroyed during the Civil War and repairs were completed by 1871.
