Description
St. Peter's Church, Protestant Episcopal, AL, Lonaconing, 2 St. Peter's Place: parish register 1895-1960.
History
St. Peter's Church was organized in 1839 as a separate congregation. By 1840, the congregation was holding services in a temporary chapel. A new church was completed in 1860. Rev. Archibald F. Gould served the congregation during the period of construction, but from 1861 to 1894, services were not held since there was no rector. Since 1916, the congregation has been served by the rector of St. John's Church, Frostburg.
