History
(Alexandria, VA: Journal Newspapers, Inc.) The Alexandria Journal was published weekly from [January 3, 1974] through September 22, 1977; semiweekly from September 28, 1977 through 1979. It ceased in October 1979 [v. 41, no. 80]. The newspaper absorbed the Globe and was continued by the Alexandria Journal and Globe.
