The Democrat and Journal began publication May 27, 1905 and ceased publication March 6, 1915. It was published weekly. Title history based on January 5, 1907 [v. 41, no. 1]. The newspaper was formed by the union of the Baltimore County Democrat (Towson: 1870) and the Maryland Journal (Towson: 1865) and was absorbed by the Jeffersonian (Towson: 1911).
