The Ledger-Enterprise began publication in 1896[?] and ceased in 1921[?]. It was published weekly. Title history based on July 2, 1898 [v. 17, no. 29]. It was also published as the Ledger Enterprise. The newspaper was formed by the union of the Worcester Enterprise (Pocomoke City: 1894) and the Peninsula Ledger (Pocomoke City: 1885) and merged with the Worcester Democrat (Pocomoke City: 1880) to form the Worcester Democrat and the Ledger-Enterprise (Pocomoke City: 1921).
