History
(Port Deposit, Cecil County: George Keating) The Port Deposit Rock, and Cecil County Commercial Advertiser began publication in 1839. It was published weekly. Title history based August 20, 1839 [v. 1, no. 3]. It was also published as the Port Deposit Rock, and Cecil County Advertiser, [July 17, 1840] and the Port Deposit Rock. This project was made possible through funds provided by the Maryland State Archives and the United States Newspaper Program of the Library of Congress and the Office of Preservation, National Endowment for the Humanities.
