Description
Copy photographs made by the Maryland State Archives of 60 photographs taken by Thomas R. Baden, Jr. (1908-1974), known as "Tommy B." These photographs, taken between 1945 and 1974, document the African-American community in Annapolis during those years. Subjects include weddings, birthday parties, black midshipmen, street scenes, parades, Carr's Beach, and the visits of such notable African-Americans as Joe Louis and Ella Fitzgerald.
