The Democrat began publication in 1886[?] and ceased June 15, 1889 [v. 5, no. 4]. It was published weekly. Title history based on December 25, 1886 [v. 2, no. 28]. The newspaper continues the Easton Independent (Easton: 1885) and was continued by the Easton Democrat (Easton: 1889).
