Photograph albums, memorabilia, and family papers of Annapolis: family vacations, Colonial Day, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, postcards; Rat-Tat 1914 and 1916 (St. John's College yearbooks); Crab Lines 1922,-1924 (Annapolis High School yearbooks); two cases of original negatives. The Stevens family lived at 52 Madison Place, Annapolis. The Torovsky family lived originally on King George Street but moved to 79 Franklin Street after building a home there. Rudolph A. Torovsky was born in Annapolis at 206 King George Street in 1897. He was an amateur as well as professional photographer. He married Alice Pierce Stevens, daughter of blacksmith John Franklin Stevens, Sr. Rudolph worked for St. Elizabeth's Hospital in the District of Columbia 1929-1961 as a medical photographer; he also worked at the North Severn Naval Experimental Station in Annapolis during World War I. He attended St. John's College, but did not graduate. He died in 1990.
Thirteen VHS videotapes containing the reformatted footage of the original 8mm and 16mm film taken by Rudolph Torovsky. The tapes depict various subject matter: family life, yacht races, crab feasts, etc.
