Newspaper, Frederick Citizen
History
(Frederick City, Frederick County: Baughman Bros.) The Frederick Citizen began publication in 1890 and ceased February 22, 1895 [v. 74, no. 33]. It was published weekly. Title history based on December 12, 1890 [v. 69, no. 23]. The newspaper continues the Republican Citizen (Frederick: 1836) and was continued by the Citizen (Frederick: 1895). For abstracts, see: L. Tilden Moore, Abstracts of Marriages and Deaths and Other Articles of Interest in the Newspapers of Frederick and Montgomery Counties from 1831-1840 (Bowie: Heritage Books, Inc., 1991).
