The Worcester Democrat and Ledger-Enterprise began publication in 1921[?] and ceased September 24, 1953 [v. 73, no. 39]. It was published weekly. Title history based on January 8, 1921 [v. 41, no. 2]. The newspaper was formed by the union of the Ledger-Enterprise (Pocomoke City: 1896) and the Worcester Democrat (Pocomoke City: 1880) and was continued by the Worcester Democrat (Pocomoke City: 1953).
