The Maryland Herald, and Eastern Shore Intelligencer began publication May 11, 1790 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased in 1799. It was published weekly. It was also published as Maryland Herald, &c. [January 10-February 28, 1797] and Maryland Herald, etc.. The newspaper was continued by the Herald and Eastern Shore Intelligencer (Easton: 1799).

Archives' collection includes issues for January 17, 1792 (MSA SC 1925-1-53), April 24, 1792 (MSA SC 2085-42-14), and October 15, 1793 (MSA SC 2085-52-8 [Non-circulating]) .
