(Hagerstown, Washington County: Johann Gruber) Die Westliche Correspondenz und Hagerstauner Wochenschrift began publication in 1795[?] and ceased in 1830[?]. It was published weekly in German with notices in English. It was also published as Westliche Correspondenz June 1799[?]-1813[?]. Title history based on September 28, 1796 [no. 68]. For abstracts, see: F. Edward Wright, Newspaper Abstracts of Allegany and Washington Counties 1811-1815 (Westminster: Family Line Publications, [1989]).
