The Republican Star, or, General Advertiser began publication September 27, 1814 [v. 13, no. 4] and ceased June 12, 1832 [v. 33, no. 43]. It was published weekly. It was also published as the Republican Star and General Advertiser January 17, 1817-1832 and the General Advertiser. The newspaper continues the Republican Star, or, Eastern Shore General Advertiser (Easton: 1802) and was absorbed by the Eastern-Shore Whig and People's Advocate (Easton: 1828).
