History
(Cumberland, Allegany County: D. Blocher) The Maryland Advocate, and Allegany Advertiser began publication in April 1834[?] and ceased February 10, 1835 [v. 12, no. 10]. It was published weekly. Title history based on April 8, 1834 [v. 11, no. 18]. It was also published as the Allegany Advertiser. The newspaper continues the Maryland Advocate (Cumberland: 1833) and was continued by the Maryland Advocate (Cumberland: 1835).
