The Farmer & Gardener began publication May 5, 1835 [v. 2, no. 1] and ceased May 22, 1839 [v. 6, no. 4]. It was published weekly. The newspaper continues the Farmer & Gardener, and Live-Stock Breeder & Manager (Baltimore: 1834) and was continued by the American Farmer, and Spirit of the Agricultural Journals of the Day (Baltimore: 1839).
