History
(Emmitsburg, Frederick County: Samuel Motter) The Emmitsburg Chronicle began publication in 1879[?] and ceased November 6, 1942. It was published weekly. Title history based on February 26, 1881 [v. 2, no. 48?]. The newspaper was suspended with the November 6, 1942 issue and continued in 1947 by the Chronicle (Emmitsburg: 1947).
