Description
Talbot Circuit Methodist Episcopal Church, United Methodist Peninsula Annual Conference, Talbot County. St. Luke's records and Sardis Church, St. Michaels records. Includes:  St. Michaels, Bayside, Ferry Neck, Trappe, Miles River, Royal Oak, Broad Creek Neck, and Tilgmans Island.
History
Talbot Circuit was organized in 1781. St. Michael's Sardis was set off from Talbot in 1875. St. Michael's Sardis continued as a Station after 1939 Union. Between 1949 and 1953 the Circuit became St. Michael's Circuit composed of Sardis Church and Southland Church (the latter was formerly Methodist Protestant). These two churches merged in 1953 to become St. Luke's Church.
