Frederick Female Seminary, MS. 28: circular, 1846; catalogues, 1848, 1868; lottery ticket, 1849; play programs, 1866, 1879; tuition bill, 1860; commencement announcement, 1882; report, visiting committee. Frederick Female Seminary opened in 1845 and continued in operation until 1893 when it became the Women's College of Frederick, now Hood College. Originals are owned by the Historical Society of Frederick County, Inc.
