The New-York Herald began publication January 2, 1802 [no. 1] and ceased November 15, 1817 [no. 1656]. It was published semiweekly. Other editions include the New-York Evening Post (New York, NY: daily: 1801). It was also published as the New York Herald. It was edited by William Coleman. The issue for January 4, 1804 is misdated 1803. The newspaper was continued by the New-York Evening Post, For the Country.

This title is available on microform from Readex Microprint Corporation and the New York Public Library.

Archives' collection contains issues for November 14, 1812-December 22, 1813.
