(Frederick-Town, Frederick County: C.T. Melsheimer & Co.) The Plain Dealer began publication in 1813 and ceased in 1814. It was published weekly. Title history based on July 29, 1813 [v. 1, no. 7]. It was published as the Plain Dealer and Political Intelligencer, [October 19-26, 1814]. For abstracts, see: F. Edward Wright, Newspaper Abstracts of Frederick County 1811-1815 (Westminster, MD: Family Line Publications, 1992).
