Description
Papers of Brevet Captain Edmund L. F. Hardcastle relating to the survey of the boundary line between California and Mexico 1848-1852; Mexican War battle maps; plats, deeds and other documents relating to Boston Clifts, Troths Fortune and several tracts in TA 1663-1844. Hardcastle was a member of the Corps of Topographical Engineers, U.S. Army, and was in charge of the field work of the survey of the boundary line between California and Mexico.
