Description
Takoma Park Oral History Project

Digital files created in cooperation with Historic Takoma, Inc. transferring oral history recordings from audio cassette. The 48 recordings feature interviews with long-time Takoma Park residents, discussions about the construction of the Metro subway station, and the 90th Anniversary of the Takoma Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Also includes a 2002 donation: notebook "Saving a Community's Recollections" with transcripts and copies of three oral history interviews with longtime Takoma Park, Maryland residents, Dorothy Barnes, Ethel Meyers Barile, and Roland Dawes. Papers contain information on the history of Takoma Park and selected maps.
