History of this Collection. The Teaching American History in Maryland program began as a joint partnership between the University of Maryland Baltimore County Center for History Education (CHE), the National Council for History Education, the Baltimore County Public School System, the Baltimore City Public School System, the Maryland State Archives, the National Archives, the B & O Railroad Museum, the Enoch Pratt Free Library, and National History Day. It is funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Education. Since the early 2000s, Researchers on Maryland State Archives staff have periodically updated the links and resources provided in the Document Packets. |
