Various copies of the newspaper News & Farmer (Preston, Maryland). Issues include: August 1, 1967, February 1, 1968, May 23, 1968, September 19, 1969, April 9, 1970, April 16, 1970, June 25, 1970, September 10, 1970, November 18, 1971, April 1, 1983 (partial issue; page 5-8 only) and April 12, 1984 (partial issue; pages 3-6 only). NOTE: Transfer still pending as of November 2004.
History
Newspaper History: (Preston, Caroline County: Caroline Pub. Co.) The News & Farmer was published February 8, 1962 [v. 27, no. 26] to May 25, 1989 [v. 51, no. 48]; beginning June 1, 1989 [123rd year, no. 41]. It was published weekly for Preston and Federalsburg. It was published as the Shore News and Farmer March 16, 1989-February 7, 1990. It was also published as the News and Farmer and the Shore News & Farmer. The newspaper continues the Preston News the Bay Country Farmer (Preston: 1942).
