Description
Shadow box of scissors used in road and bridge ribbon-cutting ceremonies opened during Governor McKeldin's tenure (Bay Bridge opening, Blue Star Highway, etc.). Designed and crafted by Colonel Elmer F. Munshower, Superintendent of Maryland State Police, 1956. The gold scissor handles feature the engraved location and date of each event. The large, hanging wooden case was fabricated from a limb of the Wye Oak.
