Description
Mr. Charles "Charlie" H. Burke, was the first registered State of Maryland sanitarian who was not a college graduate. His qualifications to become a registered sanitarion with the State of Maryland were based on his years of experience serving as a US Navy hospital corpsman, including service during World War II. This collection includes three photographs of Mr. Burke as well as his original State of Maryland Sanitarian Certificate.
