Description
Oral history interviews and transcripts on CD discs (originally recorded on audio cassettes; tapes housed at the Maryland Historical Society, Baltimore) conducted by John Charles Eichacker and Ross Kimmel in 1978-1980 with men who served in the Maryland Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), from 1933 - 1942. This Oral History Project through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources documents the experiences of the CCC men and the land conservation work they did for the Maryland Forest and Park Service, under the direction of the United States Forest Service.
