Description
Papers of the Smith, Drury, Pindell, Thomas families of Anne Arundel County, as well as some family photographs.
Includes Diary of Jerningham Drury

Drury was a farmer in Lothian, Maryland. The diary/journal lists expenses, court cases and fees, the births and anticipated manumission dates of enslaved African Americans.
Typed transcriptions within Series 1 were written by Marion Byrd. These transcriptions were of original letters housed at the Drury family home, "Lebanon," which burned in 1914. Original letters lost in the fire.
