Louis Goldstein (March 14, 1913-July 3, 1998) was a Maryland politician from Prince Frederick, Maryland. He is most notable for his ten terms as Maryland Comptroller of the Treasury. He attended Washington College and the University Of Maryland School Of Law. He was an elected official in Maryland’s government for almost 60 years. Prior to his time as Comptroller, he served as a State Delegate, a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, and a State Senator. He was active in both the Maryland Democratic Party and in the National Democratic Party, attending the Democratic National Convention 14 times as a delegate or alternate. In addition to his political work, he was a supporter of many volunteer and non-profit organizations.
