Description

Architectural drawings, plats, blueprints, maps, and other documents of real estate developer Charles F. Lee and his firm. Communities and subdivistions that are featured in this collection include: Wardour, Spa Creek - McGuckian, Murray Hill, Naumana, Sunset Beach, Gibsons Island, Glebe Creek, Pleasant Plains, Long Point on the Magothy, Southaven on the South River, Pendennis Mount, Neuva Villa Park, Great Meadow, Turkey Point, and others. Plans and drawings for the Lee Building in Annapolis are also among the papers.

The community plans and buildings documented in this collection focus primarily on Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Some plans also cover parts of St. Mary's County, Prince George's County, and a few represent subdivisions in the District of Columbia.

History
Lee was a real estate developer who oversaw the development of communities in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County in the first half of the 20th century. It was Lee who planned and sold Pendennis Mount, Cedar Park, Turkey Point, part of Eastport, and large sections of West Annapolis. He died in 1953. For a photograph of Charles F.
