Description
Journal of Frederick Pinkney (1804-1873), ink on paper and other paraphernalia, with leather-bound boards, Baltimore, 1830-1870.

Fourth son of noted politician William Pinkney (1764-1822), Frederick Pinkney served as Assistant State's Attorney in Baltimore City, appearing most often before the Baltimore City Criminal Court. This volume contains comments on political, legal, and social events in mid-nineteenth century Baltimore, as well as, records of legal cases, trial notes, news articles, and Pinkney genealogy research. Pinkney included poetry he wrote, along with etchings and engravings he created.
