Description
Assorted Maryland documents and personal correspondence transferred from Public Library, Union County, Monroe, North Carolina. The first series is personal correspondence between Alice M. Pratt and Jullien Marcellanus Winnemore, likely before their marriage (1898-1901). The second series consists of penmanship exercises corrected by Arthur P. Wyand and returned to pupil Herbert G. Stine. The final series is assorted Maryland letters and ephemera, including a postcard of Castlemans River Bridge, and two receipts from Barnhart Overall Company.
History
Documents were original donated to the Public Library, Union County by the estate of Shirley Jenkins Phifer (1941-2011) of Marshville, NC.
