Items received from a donor who published a book about her grandmother, Lillian Powell Musterman. Mrs. Musterman worked as a milliner and owned a prominent ladies’ hat shop at 197 Main Street in Annapolis for over forty years (1921-1967). She was an active member of the community throughout her life, a charter member of the Eastern Star (Masonic Temple), and of the women’s Rotary club, Zonta. She served as Zonta’s president in 1937. The collection contains mainly photos of Mrs. Musterman, her family, and her hat shop. Additionally there are newspaper clippings, correspondence, and genealogical research materials.

- Series 2: Lillian Powell Musterman Personal Papers. Contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, a speech, and other ephemera (hospital menus and a pamphlet/program)

Series 3: Elizabeth Leah Reed Publications. Contains two books written by Elizabeth Leah Reed, granddaughter of Lillian Powell Musterman. One of the books is Lillian’s biography; the other is more of a genealogical text about her ancestors in Virginia.
