News articles, newspapers, reports, electronic files, maps and cultural heritage brochures highlighting the construction and preservation of heritage sites in Dorchester County, influence of Native American and African American culture and history, maritime life around the Chesapeake Bay and agriculture as well as other tourist events and attractions in the county. Newspapers and articles are from the Dorchester Star; The Daily Times, The Daily Banner, The Star Democrat, and The Baltimore Sun publications and center on news mainly from Cambridge and East New Market areas of Dorchester County. News articles about Native American heritage focus on the activities and news of the Nanticoke Tribe, the Nause-Waiwash Band of Indians, and the Accohannock Tribe. News articles and electronic files covering African American culture largely focus on the development of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park and Byway. Reports include the meeting minutes of the Dorchester County Tourism Committee and Council from the years 1994-2001.
