The collection contains two copies of the newspaper supplement:
A. Aubrey Bodine, Special Issue–The Best of Bodine, Baltimore, Md., December 13, 1970

The publication has a one page article about Bodine and includes 21 of his photographs. Bodine was born in 1906 and joined the Baltimore Sun newspaper at age fourteen. He remained there for fifty years until hs death in in 1970. As a photographer he had an “outstanding knowledge of light and how he controlled it to communicate beauty and mood.” He photographed a wide range of Maryland subjects including: Baltimore City and harbor, Chesapeake Bay watermen and skipjacks, historic houses, rural landscapes and various people ranging from the well- known to laborers. For many years he was also the Photographic Director of the Sun Magazine.
