Description
Baltimore Magazine, web article by Lydia Woolever, Photography by Greg Kahn, "Turning Tides: After decades of silence, the Eastern Shore begins to reckon with its difficult history." The story probes into the history of racial conflict and struggles of African Americans living in Talbot County, Dorchester County and Chestertown (Queen Anne's County). Gordon Wallace was interviewed and is quoted in this article and his street mural in Chestertown is featured. Wallace's ancestor, a Union veteran who was a founder of Sumner Hall in Chestertown also discussed.
