Description
Dorsey and Bowie Family Papers: correspondence, accounts, land and chattel records, journal, memorandum book, genealogical notes and newspapers. Collection includes the letter of a Civil War soldier and a participant in the 1849 Gold Rush to California, estate papers of William Hammond Dorsey, journal of a trip from Baltimore to England and Europe kept by Richard B. Dorsey 1815, and genealogical notes relating to the Dorsey, Alden and Bowie families.
