This file contains the Friendly Library's charge books for fiction. Books for loan are listed by their Friendly Library book number. Most entries include the title of the book and author; however, some list only the title. These books appear to be the central charge books for the Library. Under the book heading, individual borrowers are listed with a borrow date and a return date. Some borrowers are associated with a branch, route, school, or station name. Sometimes only the lending location is listed. The books used as charge books were apparently culled from a variety of sources and vary in size and shape. A couple of the charge books have pages cut out and one lists the original owner's name, Katherine Collins.
