Description
16 mm color film entitled "Steel Spans the Chesapeake" produced by the Motion Picture Bureau, Publications Department, Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Bethlehem, PA. (38:01 minutes).

Patrons may request DVD transfer for playback purposes, 33/04/04/40.

Synopsis: Film details all aspects of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge construction. The final 2 to 3 minutes of the movie features the bridge opening and contains footage of the ribbon cutting (Governors McKeldin and Lane featured) plus the initial drive over the span. RS, 2/2/11.
