Medical Care in the City of Baltimore Collection
Electronic research in web-based format relating to the history of medical schools and hospitals in the city of Baltimore. Medical schools include the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore Medical College, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Hospitals and charitable institutions providing medical care including the Baltimore Infirmary (now University Hospital), the Maryland Hospital, the Baltimore Almshouse, and U.S. General Hospital No. 2 (Fort McHenry). Website derived from these materials includes database of medical practitioners, including doctors, dentists, midwives, cuppers, bleeders, etc. in Baltimore prior to 1919.
