Public records relating primarily to Allegany County Court and Circuit Court as well as other county jurisdictions, including Baltimore Co., Baltimore City, Queen Anne's County, and Washington County.

Papers consist of warrants, summons, tax records, civil suits, credit disputes, and court papers purchased by Donors at auction. Instructions issued to 14 Orwell Township district Path Masters are among these documents (1850s).
