Description
Crownsville State Hospital: A Look At Its Present And Past, 1910-1960. This paper, written by the daughter of Dr. Jacob Morgenstern (former Crownsville Superintendent), is concerned primarily with the processes of desegregation and integration among the personnel of Crownsville State Hospital and touches upon the transfer of certain patients to Rosewood Training School.

Description
Board of Managers meeting minutes from November 26, 1941 that features an appeal from the Baltimore Urban League to employ African-Americans on the Crownsville Staff. The Managers, on January 21, 1942, adopted a subsequent resolution approving the employment of such individuals (Crownsville, however, would not actually hire any African-Americans until 1948).
