Board of Managers meeting minutes from November 26, 1941 that features an appeal from the Baltimore Urban League to employ African-Americans on the Crownsville Staff. The Managers, on January 21, 1942, adopted a subsequent resolution approving the employment of such individuals (Crownsville, however, would not actually hire any African-Americans until 1948).
